Summary: People and animals can affect a river. Some ways that people affect a river is by building dams, littering, and dumping waste. Some ways that animals affect a river is they use the river for resources (hunting and drinking) and they also can change the area around the river(helping the environment). Animals and people can do good and bad to a river and sometimes they don't even know it. Sometimes they do know it and hopefully if they know it is good they will do it more and if they know it is bad they will hopefully stop,

S&EP: SP2: Developing and using models:
We used models this week to see what a glacier can do to a river. A glacier can help make a river more wide and gives it more water when it melts. We used a model to see what a dam does to a river. A dam causes the river to make a pathway around the dam. We also used a model to see what toxic waste does to a river. Toxic waste spreads through the river and can kill wildlife. We used lots of models that helped us learn more about rivers.
