Summary: People want to live near the Bay Delta because it has some of the richest peat soil in the region and also people depend on the water there. A delta is a D shaped area where a river meets a sea or lake. Peat soil is really good for growing crops. People want to build houses near the Bay Delta's floodplain but that might interfere with the Bay Delta's way of dealing with the seasonal floodings. The Bay Delta is really important because it give us lots of fresh water and rich peat soil.

S&EP: SP2: Developing and using models
I used a picture and I annotated it with things like arrows and boxes. I had to label the parts of a river like v-shaped valleys, deltas, meanders and many more. To do this we had to read the definitions and look at the pictures of the part of the river. I had to annotate about 10 pictures of areas of a river. some of the picture focused on 1 part of a river but others had multiple parts of a river on them.
